This Privacy Policy explains what personal data TrackDrive collects, how we use it, and your rights. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide. Contact us at help@trackdrive.co.uk.
We follow UK data-protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
We do not take or store your card or bank details — all payments are handled by Apple or Google. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We use your data to provide and maintain the app: to store your records, calculate pay and mileage, reconcile remittances, look up vehicle and route information, send service emails (such as password resets), provide support, and keep the service secure.
Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (providing the app), our legitimate interests (keeping the service working and secure), and your consent where required (for example, device location and notifications, which you can control in your device settings).
If you allow it, TrackDrive uses your device location to show live traffic and travel times along your delivery route and the weather at your destination. Location is used while you use these features and is not used to track you in the background for any other purpose. You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings.
We use trusted providers to run TrackDrive. They process data only on our instructions:
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we anonymise your sign-in details immediately and remove your business data within 30 days, unless we must keep some information to meet a legal obligation.
A storage limit (currently 3 GB) applies per account.
We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. The app also offers an optional Face ID / Touch ID lock, enforced on your device. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to data portability. You can delete your account and export your records directly in the app, or contact us at help@trackdrive.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
TrackDrive is intended for working drivers aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms) to protect your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
